I love peanut butter on a hot piece of toast but I have to be careful as my son has a peanut allergy.

In fact we only found this out when he was about 18 months old because I love peanut butter on a hot piece of toast.

I like it on crumpets as well but toast nudges it out by a whisker.

Sorry to bring vaping into it but I have tried quite a few juices and concentrates to replicate the taste but only Vapekings peanut butter has come close.

Personally I found it actually tastes like peanut butter where most didn't.

Sorry RC for the confusion. There has been a war going on in some circles (The Guardian maybe or it may have been mainstream media) because there are some young people who resent that fact that older people seem to be hogging all the real estate. The reply from the old buggers was that they spend too much money on smashed avocado in cafes instead of saving for a deposit. I thought it was a funny war but sad too that the young ones complaining don't seem to realise where the real blame lies for the lack of home ownership. Being a cynical and suspicious person I also wondered if the young ones were being manipulated by the greedoids to put pressure on oldies so their houses could be grabbed. There was talk of doing a sort of reverse mortgage on age pensions so any money paid in pensions is grabbed from the estate when they die.

    I love avocado.

    Crrrrrrumpet.
Why didn't you say so? So many unnecessary bruises.
Toast for all the savoury options, but crumpets with molten butter, and honey dripping over your fingers, dats da bomb

i heard soon after that that hobart sells the world's most expensive cafe coffee

some international survey said melbourne, but lots of people chimed in that hobart cafes are more expensive than both perth and melbourne [and italy, who were 3rd]

I would say that was true. It seems to be at least 50 cents more and half as strong. It is annoying trying to get a decent coffee in Hobart. There is one place which has very good coffee and they are probably a bit cheaper. The owner loves coffee. There is one hideous trendy restaurant where I had a good coffee. I was a bit shocked by this after having a terrible overpriced meal in a restaurant where you couldn't hear the person less than a metre from you because people were packed so tight they had to yell. It was worse 30 years ago though I could only find one place which had an espresso machine and that was an Italian restaurant.

I refuse to participate in this poll, I'm not gonna play favorites, rotation is the key!

    For me.....

Crumpets, butter, strawberry jam: is the only combination.

    Toast can be:

    Butter or margarine
    Strawberry Jam
    Vegemite
    Cheese
    Peanut Butter
    Vegemite & Cheese
    Strawberry Jam & Peanut Butter

    But always HOT HOT HOT!

(I'm also partial to lemon butter)
