    Doing fried rice.

Should have prepped rice yesterday, since leftover rice works best. But waiting on fresh rice to go a bit stale now. Might lay it uncovered and spead on a plate in the fridge for a while

For a standard run phillipino fried rice, i usually stick to holy trinity of garlic, salt, pepper all in huge quantities. Then just flavours from omlette, bacon etc. Keep it traditional.

Greens chilli oil goes great once finished though, i like the peanut one

Noe, have you been to an eye specialist? My dad experienced similar issues several years back. The doctors put him on eye drops but it didn't fix the issue. The issue being that his eyes stayed dry during sleep and upon waking the inner part of his eyelids would stick to and tear at the thin outermost layer of his eyeballs (excuse my lack of medical terminology). He had to undergo laser operation to fix the issue.

Edit: Silly me. I overused the word 'issue'.

Quickly ageing rice in the fridge worked ok, but not as good as aged overnight

Interesting, sounds a lot like what I experience.
I bet the laser treatment isn't cheap though & it would be up to the doctor to refer me to get it covered on medicare (if medicare even covers it).
I'm going to look into it though thanks :)

Yes, the symptoms do sound alike. See a doctor first and he/she will let you know if an eye specialist will be required.

My dad tried to cope with it quietly until the pain worsened and he could not open his eyes at all. He ended up in hospital, then later made many visits to an eye specialist. I don't know about medicare, but his private health insurance helped a lot as it all was quite expensive. The laser surgery had to be done on one eye at a time and it involved removal of the thin outlayer of eyeball, including the damaged parts. The following days involved rest, healing, eye drops/lubricants and eye patches. I'm glad to say he made a full recovery.

That being said, later he experienced further misfortune and had to undergo cataract surgery. He made a complete recovery again. I'd hazard a guess that his eye sight is now better than mine, and I do not wear eyeglasses.

The herb Eyebright (Euphrasia Officinalis) is particularly good for eyes.
I made some drops up just a minute ago for Kim who has something similar to you Noe.
I use predominately eyebright with a drop or 2 of comfrey, Rue , calendula and chamomile into a base of water with some MSM.

The main one to use is eyebright though, the others are good but I had them on hand.

Just thought I would mention it as you are an old vit C head.

??? You need permission to discuss it ???
After Aussie voters have been discussing it publicly for months ?

We live in a strange society.

Forums by their nature of being "owned" by someone are dictatorships, benevolent or not.

There is a police force and army aka, "moderators" and then there are dobbers and snitches, just like real life with countries and politics.

So best to wait on the authorities or be sent to a purgatorial hell.
