Perfect.........purchased..........I wonder if I can swage the end?
I shamfered the end by spinning it up in a drill and applying a bit of wet and dry, test fitted in the brass pin and then press fitted. I only used about a 16mm length.
New FD BF 510 available soon
Now that^^^^^^^^^^^^^looks the goods! I wonder if it's sprung?
Not soon, in stock now. The V5 bottom feeder kits are due in two weeks, and in some ways are better still. Overall they still don't quite fill me with as much confidence as I would like, but they are the best available in decent quantities.
You would think that by revision five they would have totally nailed it LOL.
The V5 has a fixed in ceramic sleve with a longish ss pin, buy still relies on a single silicone oring dropped into the top to seal the pin shaft (this is seperate from the one in the landing pad).
The V4 with the threaded insert is a bit more versatile for modding to a more secure seal on the shaft, at least that's IME so far, but we shall see. Moving generally in the right direction, but not always in a straight line.
Yes it's sprung, same core as original V4 but with the longer ss pin.
Yeah just noticed that on their website
the v4 is a BIG step up from previous incarnations. I received 2 today, the bore is nice and wide, the positive pin connector is much easier to work with
Nice.....just for wood?
dunno, it is in italian lol
Lol.....Looks like a press fit 510
Don't think it is suitable for metal box
