    Hi All,

I'm going to be in Sydney on Friday 21st August for an evening event that I'm attending with Charles Vaper. Just putting it out there if anyone wants to catch up beforehand?

The event is at the Wayside Chapel in Potts Point and starts at 6.30pm so somewhere around there would be great. Maybe a beer garden or a coffee shop with an outdoor area so we can vape?

Please express your interest in the thread. Any suggestions on venue would be appreciated.

I'll be there, wherever 'there' happens to be.

Although Steamers is a great venue for a meet up, I suspect it will be painful to get from there to Potts Point around peak hour on a Friday arvo for the 6:30 appointment.

I don't get over to that area much these days. Does anyone have ideas for vape friendly meeting places in the area of Potts Point/Kings Cross?

Thanks Andrew, and yes Nico, sorry, having only 3 hours to spare, I think getting to steamers and back might be a little difficult.

Has anyone been to the Sugar Mill?

    I ask because it is:
    • Just a few streets from the event in the Wayside Chapel.
    • Has a large outdoor area downstairs.
    • Has a rooftop bar that is 'smoking friendly' (I decided it was easier to check 'smoke friendly' than explain vaping - we can do that when someone asks!).
    • Sells coffee as well (though you can get a glass of White or Red for between $7.50 - $10).

Can any NSW's peeps advise how your public transport works? Do you have tickets or cards that you put money on? I'll be catching a train from the airport and then back again on the Saturday.

it takes longer to work out what you need than to wait. The system is good, really frequent, but it is spendy and confusing

no, i mean waiting for a bus or train usually takes about 3 minutes, like britain, but sorting out what ticket you need is more like 10-15 minutes. I usually just buy a day tripper, they are about $30 i think but you can just scan on ferries, buses, trains, etc and go

I hope not, I'm not spending $60.00 for 2 trains in 2 days.

Well, the standard is becoming the Opal Card but I don't use them yet. You need an unregistered card from an Opal retailer, I guess. From the map of retailers it seems you can buy them from the domestic airport train station.
I have managed to avoid the airport train stops, since the fare in and out of them is extortionate. According to Airport Link prices it is .. $17.00. Holy crap! Why not drop the charade and simply have masked bandits with twin pistols 'greet' visitors?

Thanks Andrew for the info. I'm concession so it's $13.60. I can deal with that.

    Hi everyone,

It would be great if we got a chance to meet a few fellow Vapers; especially from this forum!
The Sugar Mill sounds perfect. Wherever, but it MUST be Vape friendly.

I'd really like to look into Vape Meets too..
    Cheers in advance :wine:
