Xomf allows you to post pictures anywhere & all you need is the file (picture you want to post) & your web browser.
This pictorial will show you how in 3 easy steps!

First bookmark or save this link: http://xomf.com/
Next open the link in a new tab or window, you will see this page:

Next open the file on your computer with the picture you want to post, then drag & drop it into the box on that page, then click the button:

Finally, when the Xomf page has done uploading your image, it will display a list of links, the 2 most useful for forums (like VCA) are the 2 at the bottom, the one on the left is for full size posting & the one on the right is for small clickable pictures (useful for very large pictures to reduce loading times of threads).
Highlight the link you want ( click to make it blue), then copy the link, then come to your post on VCA & paste into your post:

Note you will not see the picture, just the link to the picture when you paste.
When you have written your post, click "Create Thread" or "Reply" as per normal & your photo/picture will appear with your post :)

It is all I use these days, so much easier than all the other ways, well for me it is easier.

Although I have been using the direct link, I will try the link you mentioned next time I ever post another picture.

Thanks Noe, that is a good guide.

PS: You can also just click the button and browse around your files, which is what I usually do. Sort of the same really.

I used to do that but I found it takes a little longer than the drag & drop method.
I agree though, Xomf makes posting pics very easy, when compared to other methods & without the need to have an account.

If you edit your post & take out the "{URL}" tags you added, the picture will be there ;)

When you copy the forum link on Xomf you do not need to add your own URL tags.

Nope! All that coppied from the link was
Url and img in the brackets

Not good at this oh well, got it to work in a round about way and is still 100 times quicker than photobucket

Well at least you got it to work :)

The other way you can do it is copy the "Direct" link then click the little square picture symbol next to the smilies symbol here when you post, that will open up a pop-up box & you just paste the link into that. You'll also be able to see if it worked before you hit "post reply" using that method :)

    Thanks Noe.
I rarely come to the Cafe on a desktop. Its exclusively on my phone.
Dont know if that's why I've struggled with this posting photo palava.
