I've had the VTC for quiet some time now but only using temp mode for a month. In that time it only asked me 2x if I have new or old coil, yet I do change coils. Also the resistance locking doesn't seem to do much of anything. Locked or not , it vapes the same and even when locked, the resistance can still change from say 0.13 to 0.14 ohm as coil gets older. Like I said, it vapes great so I wonder if anyone figured that out.

I have found with my TC device that I need to manually reset the resistance lock each time I install a new coil.
I don't have a VCT mini, but I shamelessly stole the below from elsewhere:
    1. Tap main button 3 times to hit the menu.
    2. "-" twice to get to the resistance line.
    3. "+" to unlock the resistance.
    4. Unscrew atomizer.
    5. Replace atomizer.
    6. Repeat 1-3 to relock resistance.
    Might work for you?

Thanks, that's what I normally do. The TC otherwise works fine, never had any problems with it so there's nothing I need to fix, it's more of "I want to know why" thing :)
